"I heard about Liberty through a close friend who worked within the company. At the time I was working at a job, which I felt was capped in terms of growth. I was looking to settle into a company with endless career paths and opportunities, and after checking out Liberty, I realized by career goals were in line with the company’s outlook and objectives. I applied, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I started with Liberty in November of 2018 as a Customer Service Representative. I had no idea of where I wanted to be within the company, but I knew if I worked hard opportunities would arise. Within a year, I worked my way from a customer service representative to billing representative to an electric meter technician. I found my passion in the intricacies of metering and have since progressed to a 1^st class electric meter worker. I’ve been in the electric metering department for three years now. 

I truly enjoy my job and the people I work with. In fact, my favorite aspect of working at Liberty is the people. All members of the team get a voice in the process, and everyone is positive and looking for solutions. We are a family here, and you’ll see that with everyone’s actions daily.

There is also plenty of room for growth and career development; I am just one example. I’ve worked in several different departments in a short period and have met some wonderful people and mentors. Liberty encourages and promotes internal development, which has helped in creating a knowledgeable workforce.

I would absolutely recommend a position at Liberty to any of my friends or family. The utility industry is a great space to work in if you enjoy a fast-paced environment. Every day is different which keeps me constantly on my toes."
