Liberty NH - Third Party Attachment Process

Liberty NH jointly-owns our poles with the Telephone company.

  1. Contact Liberty Utilities at NHJointUse@libertyutilities.com to receive an application for joint use attachment
    1. Contact Fidium or TDS (Plainfield-Meriden) to apply for attachment, per their third party processes
  2. If one is not on file, we will execute a new Aerial License Agreement (ALA). Liberty NH will provide this to you to review, sign.
  3. Submit a completed Pole License application (Form A, C1Form, and a strand/route map of specific poles) to Liberty Utilities at NHJointUse@libertyutilities.com
  4. Liberty Utilities returns invoice (Form B1) to Attachee for Field Survey Payment
  5. Once payment is received, Liberty conducts Field Survey
    1. During the Field Survey, Liberty works together with Telephone to align on Make-Ready work required to accommodate the proposed attachments
    2. It is imperative that Attachee has already applied for Attachment to Telephone Company
  6. Field Survey results will determine general scope of required Make-Ready Work
    1. Liberty Make-Ready Work Not Required
      1. Liberty issues Attachee a “Pole Attachment License”.
    2. Liberty Make-Ready Work IS Required
      1. Liberty returns Field Survey results to Attachee
      2. Liberty prepares Make-Ready Design and Cost Estimate
      3. Liberty issues an invoice to Attachee for Make-Ready Payment
      4. Once Make-Ready Payment is received, Liberty completes Make-Ready construction in accordance with PUC 1300 timelines, while coordinating construction with Telephone Co.
      5. Following completion of Construction, Liberty issues Attachee a “Pole Attachment License”.
  1. Attachee constructs their assets to the poles
  2. Attachee notifies Liberty once their assets have been attached, and their work is completed.

A work request is any request for new service or service upgrade initiated by a customer or a customer’s agent (electrician, engineer, or general contractor). Work requests include:

  • Temporary service,
  • Residential Service
  • Residential Subdivision
  • Condominiums, Apartments or Mobile Home Complexes
  • Commercial or Industrial Facilities
  • Commercial Subdivisions
  • Demolitions

Landlords and Property Owners

Leave on for Landlord Program

Enroll tenant accounts in this program to have gas services automatically transferred to your own name when your tenant stops service.

Enroll Accounts

Use the Landlord Authorization Form to add accounts to the program.

Please note: If your tenant's services are disconnected due to credit-related matters, the transfer of service to your name will not be completed.

Remove Accounts

Use the Landlord to have the gas service taken out of your name for specified accounts.
