10-22-21 - 9:00 a.m.
By this evening, we expect to have service to most of our customers restored. We have 65 service technicians working to turn on individual gas meters and re-lighting appliances. WE NEED ACCESS TO HOMES AND BUSINESSES in order to compete this process. Our number one concern is the safety of our customers and the technicians working on this project. Our service restoration process includes performing multiple safety checks throughout the system.
As we enter day three of this event, we want to thank the residents and business owners of Keene for their patience. We are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
10/21/21 - 11:15 a.m.
Last night we restored gas service to parts of Main and Emerald Streets. We have over 50 service technicians working throughout the city today to continue the restoration process. We expect to have over half of our customers restored by midnight tonight and the remaining customers by late Friday Afternoon. Once we turn gas meters back on, a technician will need access to each property to re-light appliances. We appreciate your patience during this difficult time. Our crews are working hard to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
10/20/21 – 9:15 p.m.
The gas production plant is back to normal operations. Crews continue to work on shutting off affected gas meters this evening. We have divided our system into sections and will be restoring service one section at a time. Tonight we expect to have Main Street restored from Emerald to Appleton, as well as Water Street from Main to Carpenter and all of Davis Street. We have additional crews arriving tonight from neighboring utilities that will help with our efforts starting tomorrow morning.
