An in-home energy audit is the first step in making your home more efficient. An audit will evaluate your home’s characteristics and energy usage and provide recommendations on ways you can improve energy efficiency and save money.
Electric Programs - Residential - New Hampshire Electric - Liberty
The highest standard in energy efficiency for a newly constructed home is the ENERGY STAR® designation. An ENERGY STAR® qualified home is independently verified to be at least 15% more efficient than what’s required by state energy code.
Liberty electric customers looking to replace older units can receive a no-cost pickup, have it responsibly recycled, and receive rebate in the process. We also offer turn-in events for appliances such as refrigerators and old A/C units throughout the year. Learn more below.
This program is designed to reward you for reducing your electricity use during periods of high demand, while also lessening demand on the electric grid. Participants agree to brief, limited events which adjust their thermostats during peak electric demand periods from June 1 through September 30.
Look for the ENERGY STAR® label, the symbol for energy efficiency whenever you purchase a new appliance. You’ll conserve energy, save money on your utilities, and help reduce air pollution. You can earn rebates too.
We partner with the NH Weatherization Assistance Network to offer our customers the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). This statewide program provides up to $15,000 in energy efficiency improvements to income-qualified households.
