About The Project 

In February of 2017, Liberty Utilities was granted franchise rights from the NH Public Utilities Commission to provide Pelham with natural gas. Access to natural gas service will lower energy costs for some of the businesses and residents of Pelham, and can help attract new businesses into the area. Pelham will be Liberty Utilities’ first service area that provides customers with both electric and gas services exclusively. The buildout of our natural gas distribution system has been broken out into two phases.

The first phase, which is currently underway, involves extending our distribution system 5 miles throughout the center of town and down Bridge St towards the Dracut town line. This portion of the project, expected to be completed by the end of the year, will provide the majority of town buildings and commercial/industrial enterprises down route 38 with natural gas.

The second phase of the project will involve us branching out into neighborhoods adjacent to our distribution system in order to provide homeowners with a more cost effective fuel source that was not previously available. Please note this phase of the project is contingent on there being enough interest. If your street is near our gas main and you are interested in bringing natural gas to your home, we need to hear from you.
